The deadline is approaching to submit abstracts for consideration to present at the next CTBUH International Conference.

Dubai-Based Company to Build $1 Billion Skyscraper in Morocco
A Dubai-based company is to build Africa’s tallest skyscraper in Morocco. The 540-meter skyscraper, to be built in Casablanca, is over twice the height of the current tallest tower in Africa, the 223-meter Carlton Centre in Johannesburg.
Tender Issued for Iconic Katara Towers in Doha
Katara Hospitality has issued a tender for the substructure and basement works at the Katara Towers, in Doha. The pincer-shaped twin towers in the Lusail district will host hotels and branded apartments for permanent residents.
Construction Begins on 15 Hudson Yards in New York
Construction has begun on 15 Hudson Yards, the first of the skyline-altering residential towers slated for the $20 billion megaproject, which will comprise 16 skyscrapers at the site of the West Side rail yard in the West 30s.
Developer Releases Renderings for Art-Infused Tower Duo in Toronto
The newly proposed towers at Block 22 will form two new peaks on the Toronto skyline. The crowns of each building, along with strips running up all corners of both towers, will be reserved for artwork to enliven the exterior.
Construction of Moscow-City Skyscraper Block to Complete in 2018
Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Policy and Construction, said that the construction around Moscow’s International Business Center, Moscow-City, is wrapping up, and the complex is set to be completed by 2018.
London Mayor Approves Vast Wood Wharf Scheme
The 4.9 million-square-foot (455,000-square-meter) Wood Wharf scheme has been approved by the Mayor of London and will see Canary Wharf extended to the east with the addition of 30 new buildings.
