One World Trade Center Now World’s Third-Tallest Building
With the move-in of anchor tenant Condé Nast, One World Trade Center has opened its doors. Having met the CTBUH criteria for “completion,” the 541-meter (1,776-foot) building has now become the world’s third-tallest building and the tallest building in North America.
Trump International Hotel & Tower in Baku Set for 2015 Completion
The Trump International Hotel & Tower in Baku, Azerbaijan, is on schedule to complete in 2015. The 33-floor landmark will be located on Hasan Aliyev Street in the Nasimi District, and will feature 72 luxury residences and 189 hotel rooms with views of the city and Caspian Sea.
Damac Towers Continue Upward Rise in Dubai
One of the largest construction projects in Dubai is now heading skywards. The $1 billion Damac Towers by Paramount resort is to include more than 1,800 units, with 1,000 one, two-, and three-bedroom serviced suites and an 800-room 5-star Paramount Hotel when it is completed in 2016.
Dundas Square Project Announced for Toronto
Dundas Square Gardens is a newly announced high-rise project that seeks to capture the condominium market as well as the student housing market, owing to its close proximity to Ryerson University. The development will consist of two volumes: a 47-story tower and a smaller 17-story building.
Paris City Council Rejects Tour Triangle Skyscraper
The Paris City Council voted 83-78 in a secret ballot against the Tour Triangle, which would be the second-highest tower in Paris after the Montparnasse Tower. The mayor immediately rejected the vote as invalid after several council members disclosed how they voted.
KPF’s London “Jenga” Tower Approved After Minister’s Decision
Lambeth council has approved Kohn Pedersen Fox's proposal for a 50-story block of 450 flats in Vauxhall after an eleventh-hour decision by the Communities Secretary not to force a public inquiry. New Bondway North Tower has been dubbed “Jenga” Tower due to its unique design.

The CTBUH Height Committee met in Chicago Nov. 7. Co-joined towers, composite construction and completion criteria were on the agenda.
First CTBUH Demolition Working Group Meeting
Meeting for the first time in Amsterdam, the group discussed an entire spectrum of possibilities for demolition, focusing on sustainability of techniques.

First Tower Tour

The technical tour of the Camargo Corporate Towers development was the first of what will hopefully be many successful Brazil events.
