Work Underway at Residential Project on Abu Dhabi’s Al Maryah Island
A developer held a meeting with property agents to market its $1 billion waterfront Maryah Plaza project, comprising three residential towers and one mixed-use tower with serviced apartments, a hotel, offices, and retail space.
Supertall Proposed for Collins Street in Melbourne
A construction industry superfund wants Planning Minister Matthew Guy to approve a plan to replace the 1960s Suncorp building on Collins Street with a 300-meter tower that would overshadow the Yarra River.
Goettsch Partners to Design High-Rise Complex in Shenzhen
Architecture firm Goettsch Partners (GP) has been hired to design a massive project located in Neighborhood 2 of Shenzhen’s Qianhai district. The project covers 6.2 hectares and includes five commercial towers.
Leadenhall Building’s Public Realm Completes in London
The public realm at the foot of the 47-story Leadenhall Building has opened to the public. Spanning more than 2,000 square meters, the area is the largest public space to be created in the City of London for a decade.
SkyRise Miami Approved by Voters
A proposal to bring a 1,000-foot (305-meter) skyscraper featuring a restaurant, observation decks and thrill rides to downtown Miami was approved by South Florida voters amid hopes it will help re-invigorate Bayside Marketplace.
Construction Begins on Jersey City’s Massive Three-Tower Project
A massive three-tower project that will include the tallest residential building in New Jersey, has begun construction in Jersey City's Journal Square. The development's Phase I tower is expected to be complete by 2016.

The CTBUH announces two key enhancements to The Skyscraper Center: a dedicated Editorial Board and a new data submission portal.
Student Competition Finalists Going to Shanghai
Five student teams will travel to Shanghai to compete in the 3rd Annual CTBUH International Student Design Competition, sponsored by ISA Architecture.
CTBUH Canada Tours
Bay Adelaide Centre

The CTBUH Canada chapter toured the Bay Adelaide Centre East, a long-delayed high-rise project now close to completion, drawing around 50 attendees.
Lifetime Achievement: Durst & Irwin Recognized
Douglas Durst will receive the Lynn S. Beedle Award and Peter Irwin will receive the Fazlur R. Khan Medal, at the CTBUH awards events in November.
YPC Tours OneEleven Tower
The CTBUH Young Professionals Committee toured OneEleven, a half-finished Chicago residential high-rise project that was restarted with a radically new design.
